GWIRF has formed a new partnership with the national and international organization Facing History and Ourselves. The organization, based in Brookline, Massachusetts has a huge teacher outreach.  Their work is based on the premise that we must — and can — teach civic responsibility, respect, and social action to young people.  Facing History is holding community events and delivering classroom strategies, education resources, and lessons for educator workshops and seminars that will focus on religious liberty.

Facing History’s expert staff in New York City is working directly with the GWIRF team to bring a George Washington Letter Reading Day to Manhattan high schools in February 2011.  Watch this page and our Press Room for future program and product announcements.
