In order to widely disseminate its message, the George Washington Institute for Religious Freedom has partnered with other organizations with similar missions. For the next three years, our partners include Facing History and Ourselves and the Bill of Rights Institute. In 2009, we partnered with the First Freedom Center and sponsored their Student Essay Competition. The competition offers high-school students an opportunity to compete for $2,500 awards as they examine the history and current-day relevance of religious freedom. The competition, held annually, is open to students in the United States and U.S. territories, and to American schools and American home-schooled students worldwide.
